HEY! this is an interesting article about how GM plans to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% by 2010. (pretty ambitious)

Will humanity increasingly suffer from problems of overpopulation, global warming, wildlife habitat destruction, overfishing, degradation of agricultural soils, depletion of nonrenewable energy resources and other ecological problems, which could imperil our economic development, standard of living and planet as a whole? Or do these problems not pose serious threats to continued economic growth and well being?
